The "Dying of Hope"... (Connie J...)
The same pain that can break you; CAN help you heal, if you allow it.
However, when you are "broken by another", especially someone you love, and thought loved you, unconditionally; the added betrayal adds yet another layer to the proverbial "onion" of the Healing Process.
Unfortunately, as the Victim starts to take steps to pull away from them, the perpetrator "ups their game" by acting remorseful, with "I love you's", etc; throwing them completely off balance - disarming them, if you will.
This often causes "the Dying of Hope" (DKH) leaving them to feel hopeless, and helpless in their endeavours.
Tis a wicked game they play. Catch, and release; just prolonging their pain, and cutting deeper. Like a cat with a mouse.
Does this describe the relationship YOU are in, or someone you know? Are you motivated by your pain, or beaten down? Are you in a place you can make a choice in your situation? Are you safe?
Have a good day, and be safe... #ENDtheSILENCEofVIOLENCE #EtSoV
